    The GIRI2.0 Book

GIRI2.0 is defined in terms of the activities each participant brings into the Research Initiative. Therefore the structure of GIRI2.0 is loosely coupled in the everyday setup and activities. However we need the opportunity to all meet simultaneously across research groups, to collectively challenge and inspire each other’s perspectives and approach to Global Interaction, and in this process, engage in and develop interdisciplinary activities. The main idea is to start a collaborative process, which may result in surprising applications of each other’s research and in developing new cross-cutting research initiatives.

To manifest and encourage this idea, this year's GIRI2.0 seminar was dedicated to launching our common book-project. The project will be a 5-year process of co-authored writing and editing by the GIRI2.0 participants and invited researchers to create the book with the working title: “GIRI2.0: The experiences, the Findings, the Process”.

The purpose of this book, is to have a collection of experiences across the GIRI initiative, reporting not only on the findings from our research (as we do in conference and journal papers), but also include overall reflections of what it means to engage in global interaction research.
